NAPOLI – Città del mare.
L’energia del tufo giallo napoletano, quinta scenografica di tutta la città. Lo sguardo percorre l’ordine “disordinato” tipico dell’architettura di Napoli.
Due città cosi distanti e cosi simili nel caos, dinamiche e frenetiche.
Il progetto tende a ricreare le stesse quinte materiche, severe e bloccate alla città, lasciando esplodere la vita all’interno delle grandi corti. Gli edifici nella parte basamentale sono un’estensione naturale del suolo, in verticale; appena sopra il livello commerciale esplodono energici i volumi, ricreando il caos tipico delle elevazioni della città di Partenope.
Poi l’acqua, il fiume, accesso fluido alla città. Il waterfront si configura come un grande parco che degrada man mano, creando un porto turistico, per consentire l’accesso al district arrivando dal fiume.
I materiali lapidei sono quelli cari alla tradizione napoletana, fusa al genius loci di Shanghai nella scelta di reperire in situ tutto quello di cui il progetto ha bisogno per essere realizzato.

NAPLES – sea city.
The energy of the Neapolitan yellow tuff, side scene of the entire city. This is what you can see taking a look at the “messy” order of typical Naples architectures.
So distant cities, so similar in chaos, both dynamic and hectic.
The project aims to create the same material side scenes, locked to the city, getting an explosion effect into the buildings’ large courts. The buildings’ basements are a ground extension in height; above the commercial floor it is provided a strong explosion in building shape, creating the typical chaos of the Partenope's city elevations.
Then the water, the river, an access to the city. The Riverfront is designed as a large park that slopes gradually creating a marina, that gives a direct entrance coming from the river.
Stone materials are chosen because of their large use in Neapolitan tradition. This item is joined with Shanghai genius loci finding in situ everything the project needs to be accomplished.
